How should I decide which passages should be followed and which ones should I ignore?

Do you hate your father, mother, brothers, sisters, yea, even your own life?
Is it because of these words of Christ that you tell you son of God's actions, and then tell your son that God is good? So that he can hate you and therefore have a chance at being saved?

Dear Pastor Cody
I recently converted to Christianity because I had been hearing a lot about Hell and I don't want to go there after I die. But there are still a few aspects of Christian theology that confuse me; perhaps you can help?
From what I understand from various YouTube theologians, God is not only omnipotent (all powerful), but also omniscient (all knowing) and omnipresent (in all places at all times). I've also heard that God, after creating the first humans (Adam and Eve) told them not to eat the fruit of a certain tree, but that they did eat the fruit and that's why many people now have to go to hell.
So my question is: if God knows everything, including everything that's going to happen, why did He give Adam an instruction that he knew Adam was going to disobey?

1) The Holy Bible tells us that Hell is merely where God is not. Does that mean that we are in Hell or that God is not?
2) 1 John 2:22 "Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son." This verse clearly asserts that any atheist is no one else but an antichrist. How should we (devout Christians) act upon meeting one and is there any quick exorcising technique that could help us deal with these Satan worshippers?
